Afternoon tea at Tanjong Pagar

My friend has been hyping to me about how good this bakery is so i was really excited to try it. Hidden away in a remote by relatively new mall, this japanese owned bakery has made a name for itself. I tried 2 of their signature cakes but i really liked this one

Mont-Blanc

Its sponge is really good and i like the chestnut flavor. It has pastry cream beneath the chestnut cream and half a nut. I like it :)

Chocolate mud cake!

Chocolate mud cake

A dear friend was leaving so i baked this cake for her. It was a chocolate mud cake. Unfortunately i forgot to warm it up before serving so it was hard! Remember to always warm it up than the chocolate will be soft thats why its called the mud cake..haha

Perfect dessert after BBQ

Raspberry meets Ice Cream
3 tier cake - Raspberry mousse, vanilla ice cream and vanilla sponge base

I had a bbq party at my place and i was thinking what would be a great dessert for a BBQ? The good old ICE CREAM will definitely cool everyone's palettes. So i made a 3 tier cake starting with a sponge base, i added ice cream as the middle portion, freezed it before topping it off with a tangy raspberry mousse. It was gone in like 5 mins.

Shine's Birthday Cake

Vanilla Sponge with orange cream cheese and
Mango creme chantilly filling

It was my first time doing a rolled icing cake and I had to do it in my air conditioned room, it was alright till i transported it. In room temperature, it will start to "sweat" so it was very soft and fragile. A side of it actually tore off . Spot the tear..haha. Thank God Shine's parents adores the cake.
